Aurora Dome

Great and unique stay! Neither my girlfriend nor I are much into camping but this was a great way to do a bit of "glamping" in the arctic circle. The dome overall was nice and spacious and generally what I was expecting. The heaters worked fantastically and kept the dome warm throughout the night and the large window and ceiling allowed for some wonderful views during both daytime and night time. There are also fun amenities at the lodge (doglsedding which can be booked separately, spa that can be reserved, etc). Staff was also extremely friendly and helpful getting everything sorted when we arrived.

We really only had a couple minor items that we would have liked to see. The first is that the beds were set up expecting extremely cold weather (2 sleeping bags and 2 personal blankets). Since the heaters were doing a great job keeping the dome warm, we would have hoped for the bed to be set up more in a traditional way or at least with a single queen/king size blanket that would cover the entire bed. The second is that there weren't keys to lock the door. While the staff and area made us feel quite safe without locking the door, we both come from areas where someone would never leave their door unlocked especially overnight and fashioned a makeshift way to keep the door "locked" from inside. If you're used to camping or come from a community where having the door unlocked then this won't be an issue for you.

La ubicación es sin duda su punto fuerte, se encuentra apartado de la civilización.

Lo MAS IMPORTANTE, es que nosotros nos alojamos en la aurora dome grande. Apenas pudimos dormir del frío que pasamos!!! Entiendo que es un tienda de lona en mitad de Kiruna en invierno, pero si no es apta para esas condiciones, es labor del alojamiento no ofertarla y menos por casi 300€/noche. Y no solo eso, por ese precio, las luces que estaban dentro estaban o rotas o sin pilas: la limpieza no estaba a la altura y tener que dormir el sacos fue el colmo. Apunto que dentro del dome habia dos estufas, dormimos con ropa térmica (mallas y camiseta), pijama, calcetines gordos y gorro dentro de los sacos y cubiertos con todo lo que encontramos, y ni aun así conseguimos entrar en calor. Hilando con el punto bueno, la ubicación es bonita, pero solo accesible con en coche o taxi (20€ el trayecto). Desde el principio hubo problemas en cuanto a la comunicación, entiendo que porque no solo llevan el hotel si no un lugar de actividades. Los problemas se mantuvieron durante la estancia, ya que nos dijeron cosas que luego no podíamos hacer y para finalizar reservamos para la sauna por teléfono y resulta que cuando llegó la hora de ir, no se podía y la conversación que yo había tenido por teléfono no existía. Al final nos quedamos sin sauna. El desayuno debías preparártelo tu, con lo que no tendría problema si no fuese por el precio que pague por el alojamiento En general es una experiencia que no puedo recomendar a nadie (al menos para las auroras dome en el invierno). Además que el trato fue poco agradable, daba la sensación de que estábamos molestando.
