Driftwood Cottage Port Haverigg Marina Village

The Location was brilliant, the park itself was nice and quiet and beautiful scenery. Liked that all dogs had to be on leads. The contact with the owner was good about key collection etc. it was great we could check in any time on day of arrival and a late check out of up till 12pm was great.

The caravan when we arrived was dirty, the floor we had to sweep and then wash. The surfaces were all covered in like sand/dirt, the utensil drawer was grubby full of pieces of food, hairs etc, majority of glasses and mugs were dirty and had to be washed before use along with all cutlery having to be washed before using, while drawer had to be cleaned. Surfaces through the whole caravan were dirty and not just dust like thick dirt, on shelf’s we were meant to be putting our clothes on etc. The pillows felt damp and on inspection they were absolutely covered in mould which with two of us suffering from asthma was not ideal, we had to go to a shop and buy some more pillows and covers costing us £45. I don’t feel I am a picky person in the slightest but the cleanliness of the caravan was not great at all and to be honest if we could have afforded to book in somewhere else we would have but unfortunately not everyone is made of money. We had saved up to be able to take our kids on that holiday. Overall we were really disappointed as all the other reviews seemed so good but unfortunately it just wasn’t good for us. We felt like we were the cleaners having to clean before we felt comfortable.

Nice cosy caravan, great shower and very comfortable beds. Perfect location as close to the beach and not too far from South lakes safari zoo, great base for visiting areas.

Location was beautiful and peaceful views were stunning. Little touches upon arrival by owners were apreciated too.. well worth booking if looking for a great location to visit lakes .

Lack of drying facilities and from family point of view , not mine!, wifi coverage ! Kids would have loved a pool or other activities t apart from beach and walks

Very cozy and clean caravan. We spent 3 great days. Our host was very friendly and taking care that we felt welcome. The location is beautiful.

the caravan itself is immaculate and kitted out with all you require for a relaxing holiday. The site is very clean and friendly with lots of activities locally to keep you occupied should you want it.

not a lot to say really as its so good. maybe if people want to stay on site for most of their holiday it might be worth taking some beach chairs or a picnic blanket to sit on the lawn outside the caravan.

Everything was very good. Nice place to stay with a nice pub by the lake.
