Lake Ruataniwha Holiday Park

Lo único que me gustó es la ubicación y que en recepción eran bastante amables y te dan utensilios para poder cocinar. Ah y la ducha estaba bien calentita y con buena presión de agua.

La cabaña era minúscula, la cama era muy pequeña y el colchón muy blando (parecía de agua). El Wifi llega fatal, es más no llega. Si tienes que trabajar, como era nuestro caso, imposible, tienes que irte a la cocina y está muy concurrida, nada "work-friendly". Luego esta es la guinda del pastel, hace un frio que pela y en vez de ponerte una estufa normal y corriente, aunque fuese pequeñita, te ponen un calefactor de baño, que hace un ruido que tienes que decidir entre dormir con frio o no dormir por el ruido. Por recalcar un último aspecto, de los 4 sets de fuegos que tenía la cocina, solo funcionaba 1 y en un camping con tantísima gente es inadmisible, tener que hacer cola para cocinar. Dentro de todo esto, terminar diciendo que el precio no es que sea barato para todo lo malo que tiene.

No cutlery or anything in kitchen. Omarama top ten is fully stocked from Travellers leaving the odd item. Maybe put a sign up saying donate any utensils are welcome, or stock up on second hand items if possible.

We loved that it was close to Aoraki National Park. The building we stayed was in Ruataniwha Lodge in the Holiday Park. It was well heated, well provided with pillows, blankets and towels.. and there are heaters in each room. We also appreciate that there was enough hot/warm water for our showers. And although it was hard to get a hold of their staff thru their landline, they are quite responsive and friendly when communicating thru email. The kitchen, dining and living areas were all very spacious as well.

Some of our companions had bedbug bites the following morning. The toilet flush in the first cubicle of the first bathroom is not working (we have informed the Receptionist about this on our check-out), good thing is we had 3 other toilets that are working. Some areas of the lodge were really clean, but it is obvious on the many dirty floor/wall corners of the lodge that the place is somehow poorly maintained. Some of the bedbunks were unstable, squeaky, and wobbly.

Petite chambre avec 4 personnes mais suffisant pour une nuit. Un équipement complet est fourni pour cuisiner si vous le souhaitez. Cuisine et douches, et toilettes sont propres.

Cheap, no frills accommodation, fairly comfortable bed.

Couldn't sleep with fan heater on due to the noise and cabin got very cold with it off. Maybe a panel heater would be a better option.
