Budget Inn Motel Chemult

I stayed here for the location and it was suitable for two nights.

It reminded me of an old hunting lodge that I stayed in Nebraska many years ago. It wouldn't have taken much for anybody to come through that door. It's incredibly old and dated. However, the bed was comfortable. That is incredibly important. There was a broken bulb in one of the light fixtures. The Walls were paper thin and I could hear the couple in the Next Room enjoying themselves repeatedly. For what the accommodations were, the price was a tad high, but everybody needs to pay bills.

Overall location, cleanness, comforts, nice bed and clean bathroom. Everything's was awesome!

I checked into Budget Inn Motel (109480 US-97, Chemult, OR) on August 23, 2025, and paid by credit card. The first room had a strong, unbearable odor (similar to urine/decay). I asked to change rooms, but the second room had the same problem. The smell made it impossible to stay or breathe comfortably. I requested a refund from the motel before leaving, but they refused. I had to find another hotel at my own expense. I am requesting a full refund as the property did not provide a habitable room.

The owners were pleasant, and the room was very clean.

The room was very small, and the beds were squeaky.

I was surprised by the value for the accommodation. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Fan was included and helped to keep noise from the nearby road down.

It was definitely an older property.

Terrible beds, run down facilities, WiFi doesn’t work, tv options are poor, room was cramped, a/c wouldn’t hold temperature, etc, etc.
