Sterling Inn and Suites at Reliant and Medical Center Houston

Great location. Walked to NRG. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I was very worried as some of the reviews I read were horrible but did not want to pay $300-$400 for a "better" hotel. The room was very clean and there was no noise outside that kept us up. Slept well.

The beds were a little hard but tolerable for one night.

There was no catch lock on the door. Damage to floor, walls and shower curtain rod was not completely secured. No coffee maker in room(I brought instant from Home). Even though they emailed me about my arrival time A/C was not on and room felt musty. They raised the price of the room from what I was quoted online at booking.com and only reason the rates were raised was because it is during the Houston Rodeo. Clerk at desk was slightly argumentative. I have been there the past several years and I told them I would not be returning next year. They did not seem to care
