Moonstone Beach Motel

The hotel staff was so very friendly and the property was well taken care of.

Great location nice room. Very cute.

No staff available after 6pm or until 10am! That is crazy for s hotel. Our heater did not work but there was literally no one available to talk to.

The views were stunning and the staff went above and beyond for both us and our two dogs!

We arrived to find no power at the facility and nobody on site to help so I’m sure that the property is probably wonderful but we didn’t stay long enough to find out.

Property gave no warning that there was no power and there was no cell service or internet to try to contact anybody. We arrived for our late check in at 8pm to a dark cold room. When we emailed the next day for a refund for our ruined anniversary trip she had no compassion whatsoever. Just it was not her fault and you could have called us for a lantern and a blanket and NO we will not issue a refund or give any concessions for discounted night at another time or anything. No apology, no empathy for our ruined anniversary trip just greedily taking our money for a room we could not stay in. We had to turn around and drive back home in the wind and rain. We could not cancel and get a refund before we left our home in the wind storm that is the only reason we went at all, hoping that the room was warm and cozy despite the bad weather. Act of nature is not a reason to lack empathy or professionalism. So 6 hours of driving in a storm and $400 lost because of no communication that there was no power and charging us for a room that we did not use because it was not safe and habitable with no power.
