The staff running the bar were very unwelcoming. Apart from the young dark haired girl who was awesome. The info given on check in said food was available on the Tuesday. So for the last night we thought we'd enjoy eating there as I'd emptied the fridge. No food on! Stained furniture in the bar, eating area. Don't get me started with the puzzles full of hair, carpet and who knows what else. A fantastic idea having them there but basic checks and cleaning hadn't been carried out which is yuk. It was the Easter break in April, the park didn't seem ready. Hardly any cooking pots and pansnand utensils in the lodge The fridge in our upgrade (lodge) was broken. The pictures on booking.com were clearly from when the park first opened because it really does not look like that.

This is a lovely little site. Ideal for families with small children. If you’re looking for a big pool with slides and lots happening on site, this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxed holiday with a medium sized pool and a chilled atmosphere, you’ll like it here. The caravan was very clean and superbly located. The staff were friendly throughout the site and very welcoming. The pool area was nice and the water warm. Plus, it was easy to book via reception. It’s ideally situated - 3 miles from Perranporth and 5 from Newquay. Goonhavern has a nice pub (The New Inn) which we’d recommend for food.

Only 1 small inconvenience was the lack of food on site on Tuesday & Wednesday. We stayed Tuesday to Friday and didn’t realise the restaurant wouldn’t be open 2 of the nights. It was fine though, we went elsewhere. We just didn’t realise this when we booked.

Pool was good but opening times could be better. As no one was manning it and there’s no lifeguard, 6pm would be better for families to make the most of the evenings too.

They downgraded us because we had a dog. Even though I put this in when I booked I didn’t see the small print you had to ring. So rang too late apparently even though the park wasn’t full at all. We paid extra for luxury then got downgraded. Didn’t have to then pay for the dog as we covered the cost but still paid more than I should have. Myself and my partner had to sleep on a pull out sofa bed. It was awful. No sleep for me or him when we were trying to have a nice break with the children. Asked for extra bedding to pad it and got given one quilt which did nothing. The first night we had no bedding at all and had to cause issues with the bar staff (who were absolutely lovely and so helpful) but not their issue. Reception didn’t really seem to care and offered nothing. Very disappointed there was no skatepark as advertised with pictures and printed. It was the main reason we booked it and brought the children’s scooters and skateboards. Two very upset kids.
