Boogaloo Camp

A loud and confronting argument happened on our first night at about 9.30pm, and judging by the 6 cops next door the next day, one could only assume it was that person. It sounded like it was coming closer to the yurt. But it stopped after 20 minutes. - it's quite hot in the yurt - it's needs cross ventilation with another opening.

Our first venture into glamming! The last time my Dad was under canvas was as a young scout...boy things have changed. Wooden floors, canvas that neither leaks or rises with the wind, warm and comfortable. My Mum and Dad shared one of these domes whilst myself and partner stayed in the other. They were clean, the double beds, yes yes yes double beds under canvas, were comfortable and gave a good nights sleep. My only observation was that only two out of the three domes had mains electricity which was an issue for my Dad as he has to use a sleep apnea machine, otherwise the LED battery operated lights and the power banks that were readily available were fine. The hosts had them charged and ready to go along with lanterns. Shower block and WC were clean and adequately furnished. The shared kitchen was well equipped, clean with plenty of hot running water. There was a fairy light lit outdoor area with picnic benches for all guests to use. Our dome had a clear roof which meant start watching was an option but unfortunately it was cloudy that night. It is an adult only space which all other guest seemed to either keep to themselves or respectfully interact quietly. Would I do it again? Yep without a doubt!

The location was nice. Traffic noise from the nearby highway was audible, but not too bad. Our yurt was decorated in a lovely way and the bed was comfortable. It was a bit pricy, but probably to be expected in the peak season.

There was a bit of noise on the first night from campers behind our yurt, who stayed up past midnight. Our host appeared very briefly when we first arrived and knocked on the office door, but after that he did not appear and a toilet remained blocked for two days with no apparent effort to fix it or to clean. The whole facility was a bit more 'rustic' than expected, with lots of cobwebs in our yurt and a lack of dishwashing liquid in the kitchen, and soap in the bathrooms. From various glowing reviews, we expected a higher level of maintenance.

Location was easy to find, accommodation was comfortable and unique, facilities were clean, kitchen well equipped and view brilliant.

Can't do anything about the traffic on nearby road.
