Tauch Terminal Resort Tulamben & Spa

This place is stunning, beautiful, best of all is that the staff appears to really happy working there. Everyone smiling and you can hear people laughing at work. They hosted a weekly barbecue where they seated all the guests together, that created a very inviting and friendly atmosphere. We hardly left the resort, we had everything we needed right there. It was an excellent stay.

There really is not much to do outside of the resort. You can’t walk on the beach because it’s loose rock. But who cares? We were not there to walk. We were there to dive.

Absolutely loved it here! The staff is super sweet and accommodating, the room was lovely, the location couldn't have been any better with the USAT Liberty wreck in view. They provide free snorkeling equipment and we swam right from the resort to the wreck and coral gardens. The restaurant and pool bar are excellent. We can't wait to return!

Great breakfast overlooking the SS Liberty dive site. The staff are locals and treat you beautifully.

This was the most relaxing part of our holiday. We switched off completely. Beautiful views over the ocean (it’s black volcanic sand and pebbly beach but still gorgeous). We read books, recharged. Ate well including Indonesian and Western food, drank margaritas and had Magnum ice creams for a treat. The staff are all beautiful . What’s not to love about all that? We left a small bag with my iPad and medications in it, the hotel went out of their way to help me reunite with my bag - thanks Tauch! Insert Love heart emoji here!❤️

Tiny issue, I’ve realised I’m not a fan of Bintang on tap. Give me a glass bottle any day. I understand this hotel is very environmentally friendly, but….. you asked, and that’s my only small desire….

It was just after the rainy season and there was so many caterpillars ...even in the room. Bathroom should be blocked with screens. Even if the cleanliness of the place was good, the smell of sewer was persistent in the bathroom.

The location is fantastic (for snorkeling and diving on the shipwreck) and the whole infrastructure : rooms, restaurant with a view. The owner / management is German as well as a majority of the clientele .

Great location and great views, we were able to snorkel and scuba dive basically from our room, very clean accommodation and well maintained.
