Villa Shantitara Bungalows

The villas offer a comfortable stay, the attached open-air bathroom is a unique experience, very aesthetic. The host is very friendly. The pool was exceptional.

There were rats coming and going on the roof border during the night.

Simpele maar prima onderhouden bungalow. We sliepen er 1 nacht en daarvoor was de locatie voldoende. Gezamenlijke keuken en koelkast. Mooi zwembad erbij en prima ontbijt op verzoek. Locatie zelf is ook het woonverblijf van de eigenaar en je ziet dat het een persoonlijke touch heeft, mooi bij elkaar gezocht.

De ontvangst ging wat chaotisch en daardoor was het een beetje zoeken naar het concept en de mogelijkheden op de locatie zelf en er omheen.

Logement très simple et agréable, avec une belle piscine et un beau jardin. Le logement est dans un quartier très calme. Mario est un super hôte et ses petits déjeuners sont excellents.

Quelques détails d’entretien à prévoir (moustiquaires, joints de salle de bain) mais rien de méchant. Il faut savoir que le logement est assez éloigné de la plage et de la rue commerçante de Sanur.

A bit of a walk to get to the beach, but not too bad

Beautiful garden, really relaxed and quiet, nice green coloured more natural type of pool. Mario is a relaxed guy who helps out with tips and tricks (plus a great breakfast). Stayed there with the four of us (2 kids, one 4 and the other 6), and all of us where very happy.

I assume all the glowing ratings are because of the host Mario (who we didn't meet) as otherwise I'm very confused how "Suburb" was reached. Hosts daughters were there when we arrived whom were less than welcoming, knew very little information and seemed disinterested a best. Everything is tired, dated and in need of repair. Very obvious the photos used are old. Aicon hardly worked, neither did most the lights in the room so lamps and fans provided, using all of the functioning power points. Now we understand why no blankets are provided - we sweated out all night all getting very little sleep. Family room was next to the "shared kitchen" which gives me hostel vibes, meaning people were in and out all night. The curtains aren't long enough so the light shines in. Floors and bedding seemed clean but everything else is very average - even the towels seems like they were from the 70's. TV was not connected to aerial, tried to sort it out but very dirty, I was worried of electrocution and something large moved under the cords so gave up on that. Other than fish and the turtle we couldn't even find any animals. Location wise we struggled to get Gojek drivers and it's a decent walk to most things. I'm not spiteful nor do I like to give a bad review so only stating the facts. Final straw was when we arrived home after dinner with friends and we'd been locked out of the compound @ 10pm - our key didn't work and we weren't advised it would be closed - my husband had to break in. Sat in the pool and got attacked by bugs - was gutted we spent our last night here.

Nothing. I have seen the responses to negative reviews which I didn't think seemed very professional. I'm not precious - I can do basic and rustic, but this place is in need of repair and maintenance. Pool was OK, bit green - lagoon style. I seen what I assumed was where you'd get massages and it was very dirty and run down - definitely would not use. Didn't take photos on our way out - couldn't wait to get out of there.

Het is heel simpel allemaal maar dat is ook te verwachten voor wat je betaald. Het was voor ons prima voor een nachtje.

Er is geen deken op het bed, alleen een heel dunne doek. Met de airconditioning aan is dat te koud. Verder was er een gekko in de kamer die in de nacht flink lawaai maakte. Hierdoor hebben we weinig geslapen.

La Villa tutta e in particolare la casa che ci è stata assegnata proprio di fronte alla meravigliosa piscina. La posizione in una parte molto autentica di Sanur. La vicinanza di tanti servizi, ristorantini, warung, market, ecc ..... La possibilità di usare le biciclette. L'atmosfera molto rilassata e pacifica.
