寅家 TORAYA Simple Stay Inn

A fantastic and authentic Japanese stay with spacious tatami rooms, futon beds, and a great private bath. Everything was clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was peaceful and highly recommended.

La simplicité avec le grand charme de ce petit ryokan où le staff qui parle bien anglais t’accueille de manière vraiment douce et gentille. L’onsen privé à payement mais tellement agréable surtout le soir avant de se coucher ! Du pur bonheur ! D’autant que les onsen publics que j’ai fait pendant la journée étaient plutôt vétustes comme leurs hôtels …. Le eyokan te donne yucata et panier 🧺 pour les onsen et tu peux te balader ainsi dans tout Gero ce qui est hyper relaxant 😌

L’odeur persistante dans la chambre de nourriture. J’ai dû aérer longtemps pour la dissiper à moitié seulement. Le petit dej. L’idée du panier a retirer le matin directement dans la chambre est très bien, par contre ce qu’il y a dedans est vraiment hyper basique et bcp trop industriel. Dommage pour l’endroit qui mériterait + d’attention dans ce détail important du petit déjeuner. Simple oui mais davantage artisanal et de qualité.

貸切風呂がもう少し安ければ。 朝ごはんは、あのレベルならなくてもいいかな。

No Onsen - only private one which is a bit expensive for 1 person

溫馨乾淨的日式禢禢米民宿，房間蠻大的，裡面有冰箱，熱水瓶在房外，這樣也很好，直接走到門口就可泡熱茶喝了，早餐是ㄧ個提籃讓你提進房間吃，熱湯會裝在保溫罐裡，很環保

離下呂站稍遠，木頭房樓上走路或隔壁大笑會傳來房間，但還好不會太大聲

The place is absolutely awesome! We opted for it because we wanted something as close to a Japanese style as possible, and it was just that. We slept in a tatami room on futon beds and in the morning we had a basket with miso soup and some other stuff. Everything was really clean. The private bath was nothing less than fantastic and Gero, in general, is a quiet and relaxing place. 100% recommend. Also, the staff was very nice, explained everything very well in English and really kind and friendly overall.
