"Very good"

The experience on living on the Nile for a night is something realy unforgetable - and not only for kids. Accomodating hosts.

The comforts though were not really on the level with the price, if you expect wifi, shower on site (you need to relocate a mile upriver to do it), or electricity on board. They did provide us with access to electricity and working toilet on land, but the later would need a cleaning before use.

It really is a boat, a felucca that has been converted into a floating mobile home. It has a sleeping area, small bathroom with flushing toilet and shower and a small kitchen. Anyone used to camping or living in a mobile home will enjoy this! We spent 2 nights on the boat with 2 teens and a 9 year old and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Mr Nouby really looked after us, making us breakfast in the morning and offering plentiful advice on what to do in Luxor. He speaks perfect English and is a great character!

"Quirky stay with great hosts."

8.0

Characterful design, good facilities (kitchenette, toilet and hot shower on board), great to wake up right on the Nile and be moored close to the local amenities. Taking a sailing trip on our home felt very special. We also loved our host and the tips he gave us locally; such as the best hot air balloon deal, good rates on car trips to sights, generally looking out for us. The breakfast was also exceptional.

For a stationary home, we felt the price was a little steep for 2. Next time, we would contact the host directly to find out about cruise options before booking as we had misunderstood some info. If travelling as a group of 4-6, then I would say the price is a lot more reasonable!
