Atomic Inn Beatty Near Death Valley

Very convenient location to explore Death Valley National Park. Had some interesting history too.

There was a pretty bad storm before we got there so the whole place smelled very bad and the mud was swallowing the parking lot. The rooms are very dated.

Where do I start......the first thing we noticed upon entering our room was the smell....the cleaning staff used some type of fragrance on the pillows which affected the whole bed! We put the pillows in the armoire, and requested fresh pillows from the office help,which weren't easy to drum up.....the second thing that was a problem was there was no hot water at the tub/shower.....and the last thing that was a real bummer was management put a family with kids right next to us that were very noisy and inconsiderate!

The only good thing I can say is it was nice to be near Death Valley National Park.

It was dirty. They have made some half-hearted efforts to update, but we stayed at another older motel on this trip that was much better cared for and clean. There just isn’t a lot of effort here.
