Very nice, winter weather experience in Northern Sweden!

The remoteness of the location, no public transport to the meeting location at the University - but I knew that beforehand.

We had a fabulous 3-day stay in Cabin 2 across New Year! Such a beautiful peaceful location, yet just a short car ride from Lulea. We hired snowshoes from Jens and loved our walks in the snowy countryside, through the woods and to the frozen lake. The cabin exceeded our expectations. I was a little concerned since this was the smallest of Jens' cabins and only had a loo but no shower. I didn't need to worry. It was right next door to a very nice communal shower/bathroom/sauna/hot tub cabin, which was shared with only one other cabin (I believe the sauna and hot tub could be booked out to use but we didn't do this). The cabin was clean and tidy with a small kitchenette which included a fridge, sink, 2 hobs and cooking/eating utensils. It was nice and warm, even in minus 20 degrees. On New Year's Eve, we celebrated with Jens, his family and friends and other guests in another cabin with a roaring fire and delicious food which was great fun.
