"What a magical place!"

10.0

100% recommended! The place itself is magical, the luxurious tents are beautiful and got everything you need. But what really stands out is the silence in this location and the TEAM. We have to point ot Sidney as one of the most helpful and welcoming "staff" we ever met on a holiday. He greeted us when we arrived and took care of everything we needed and wanted during our 2-nights-stay. But the whole team is fantastic, friendly and caring a lot. The food was insanely good and creative, the breakfast fresh, healthy and got everything you need. If you look for a place where you can really slow down and get rest but also have the chance to explore stuff - this is definitely a place to go! Thank you for making our Namibia Trip unforgettable.

+ Nothing. It was perfect.

"Uncooperative owners and overpriced accommodations"

1.0

When we arrived, a wind storm was brewing. The manager told us "you will not get any sleep tonight". He was right. The wind sounded like a freight train all night - it was one of the worst nights we have ever spent in a yurt. The next morning, the manager told us the wind storm was here for two more days, so, "you wont sleep again". We then made the decision to seek accommodations at a lodge a few kms down the road, with his support. We had hoped that the owners would recognize that their place was uninhabitable at this time and would issue us at least a partial refund, but they refused. We wound up paying over $800 for a place we never actually slept at. I get that it was our decision to leave and nature is nature, but when the manager tells you "you will not get any sleep in these conditions" and you have big hikes planned, what else could we do? In addition, there was no wind outside of the grounds. Calm as a lake. The camp is situated in a valley and I would not be surprised if the wind blowing through here was a geographic constant. Besides the lack of cooperation from the owners in regards to a partial refund, the camp is WAY overpriced for the accommodations. The land is pretty, but so is every other lodge in Namibia. The yurt was cool, but not special. The common area was extremely basic. The meals were boring and bland. So, the wind storms aside, this spot is overpriced by like $200 per night, in my opinion, and pray for calm conditions. Book at your own risk.
