Maple Lodge Motel

Louis and the staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel comfortable right from the moment we arrived. They even gave us a free room upgrade, which was a really nice surprise and made the stay even better. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, and the beds were very comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day. We also really appreciated the free laundry room — such a convenient and thoughtful addition, especially when traveling. Overall, everything about the stay was smooth and enjoyable, and we had a very comfortable and pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend and happily stay again.

Nothing to complain about.

Spacious rooms, very clean and well maintained. An older style property, perfect for travellers who like to self cater, or prepare their own snacks/light meals. Ample hot water, good water pressure in shower. Room slightly chilly on arrival and reverse cycle air conditioner soon warmed the rooms. Parking easy, Property slightly out of town, some of the group walked into the town centre.

Beds very comfy. Reg size pillows was a bonus. Shower a little weak but shower is big. Large room layout.

Water pressure a bit low but not detrimental to room

It was a late arrival and the door was left open with the key on the table so this was good

A great place to stay in the heart of Matamata. My friends and I had a good time here for the half marathon at Hobbiton. The manager was very friendly and the place was very clean.
