Restaurant right next door. Room was clean and spacious.

The view was the best part of our stay! It was fantastic viewing snow-capped mountains right from your window. The restaurant was good. It was out of some items, however we enjoyed our dinner and would the nachos and some of the more local beer. There was some grassy area at the hotel to walk your dog and some trails nearby. We appreciated this.

The fan in older PTAC unit did absolutely nothing to keep you cool. On the fan and cool settings on high, there was barely anything happening. Around 10:30 PM, it was cool enough outside that we could open the window. It was pretty uncomfortable and miserable for lack of better words to the point we pondered leaving to sleep in cars. A simple supplementary oscillating fan would have helped drastically, which was common for other motels and accommodations in the area. This extra service is needed and truly is an extra touch that is necessary for the warmer months. To somewhat help, we’d run our feet under cold water in the tub throughout the night to better regulate. It was quite awful. We had no interaction with any staff on-site. I wish there would have been some information about additional fans being available. The hotel was dated, and there was dust around the floorboards. There was damage from other pets in the unit, including scratched door frames.

We had confirmed a one night stay at this hotel a number of months ago. Three days before our travel, the manager Cindy was trying to call us to move us from this hotel into another. She had overbooked or decided to fill rooms with people staying longer? Not exactly sure what her problem was, but we weren't the priority. Because we felt pressured we agreed to go to a highway motel down the road- all this change for a free bottle of red wine. Everything was supposed to be confirmed by her in emails which we never received. We ended up calling both hotels 3-4 times to ensure we had some place to stay. We had a lot of anxiety over this and we were upset it spoiled travelling and staying in the area . The hotel we were moved to did not even have heat and was basically shabby. I guess you can say we were better off than others as we met another couple who were in same situation. Unfortunately they never answered Cindy's calls and so when they got to the hotel, there was no accommodation for them. They were forced to stay in a trailer of the owners behind the hotel. This was a big disappointment for more stayers than just us. When we went to pick up her gift of red wine the hotel office was closed as no vacancy but we knocked on door and made a phone call, and finally we were let in to pick up the free wine. We're very glad this part of our trip is over

I don't like the way it is run

L’établissement était propre, avec tout le nécessaire pour un séjour d’une nuit. Une jolie vue sur les montagnes au réveil. Parfait suivi de l’équipe sur l’organisation.

Offrir le service de la douche au retour de randonnée faite le lendemain, pour les clients ayant passé la nuit dans l’établissement, pourrait être un petit plus !

Stanza grande, confortevole e silenziosa. Posizione ottima con vista sulle montagne innevate. Parcheggi a volontà. A fianco al motel c'é il Mile 1016 Pub, un locale storico, in cui abbiamo mangiato il migliore hamburger di questo viaggio. Atmosfera molto simpatica e cameriera francese molto gentile ed efficiente. Insomma, tutto a Haines Junction é risultato superiore alle aspettative.
