Nice Rural farm vibe and very isolated from everything. Amazing Views of my Mount Cook.

The road leading to the station hut is unsealed which means driving for around 40mins on gravel roads. Okay if your driving a larger vehicle like a 4 wheel drive or SUV but for a regular sedan or hatch back it will dirty the car up and lead to some rock chips if you don't have mud flaps. Need to go slow 🐌 on the gravel roads.

Worth the drive up the bumpy gravel road. So so quiet. Amazing scenery just wish we were able to spend more time there to absorb the pure nature atmosphere. Very friendly hostess.

We stayed here as a family of four (two adults and two young children under 10) and it was one of the most memorable parts of our New Zealand trip . The accommodation itself is very unique. We stayed in two beautifully renovated shepherd huts, with a separate kitchen and bathroom nearby. As we had the whole area to ourselves, it felt very private and peaceful. The setting is exceptional. The property sits right by Lake Pukaki, with uninterrupted views of the lake, surrounding mountains, and even Aoraki / Mount Cook on a clear day. The landscape constantly changes with the light and clouds, which makes it special from morning to evening. What really made the experience stand out was the farm environment. This is not just accommodation, it’s a working farm. We saw Highland cows, deer, and other animals, and our kids absolutely loved interacting with the two friendly dogs who would come and greet us. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and clearly very hardworking. You can tell they take pride in both the farm and the guest experience. If you are looking for a standard hotel, this is not it. But if you want a genuine New Zealand farm stay, close to nature, quiet, and scenic, this is outstanding. Highly recommended. This is a must-do experience if you are visiting the Mount Cook / Lake Pukaki area.

Drive there is a bit out of the way but that is part of the idea to experience something authentic.

The location was amazing. The view after a 30min walk was the best I had ever seen. Please do not tell the instagrammers!
