I liked that I could park really close to the cabin I stayed in. The communual space was warm and comfortable. It was exciting to realize I was the only guest in the entire compound. Loved the peace and quiet of the place.

The room had only one electrical plug that could be used. It was a very cold night, so I had to plug in the fan heater. But I also needed to charge my phone... This was before I was told that there was a lounge area. The place advertised a TV but I could not get it to work and there was no instructions and no one around to explain anything to me after hours Having only the option of a fanheater in the room was annoying, as it was quite noisy during the night There was a notice to only use boiled water, even for brushing teeth. However, there was no water provided in my cabin. I had to find out from a worker that there were 10 liter water containers in the kitchen area I found them too heavy and difficult to handle and he kindly brought them to my room so I could at least fill up the jug. I am 68 years old and that should have really been done for me, or a smaller amount of water provided already in the room

We always enjoy staying at the Hanmer Forest Park. There's always a warm welcome from the friendly, helpful staff. The facilities are clean and it's a great budget option. The grounds are are joy, right in the forest, surrounded by numerous walking and mountain biking tracks and trails. Wake to a beautiful dawn chorus.

Nice cabin, short distance from shared bathroom and kitchen. Good location if you have a car for hiking in the region.

There were groups of teenagers and children who were really loud after 10pm. Kitchen had not enough sockets to connect microwave and kettles in the same time.

I stayed in the small cabin, it was great, they had two ways of heating a pannel heater and a space heater. It had kettle, two spoons, two cups and two wine glasses and a few sachets of coffee and tea. The bed was very warm, but a little uncomfortable it felt like a old spring mattress. The shower and toilet rooms were heated which was nice. The shared kitchen was clean with plenty of dishes and dish washing supplies. overall I enjoyed my stay and will choose this place again when I come back

The water was smelly in the showers. Rooms smelt bad, and also noisy and bright with lights fr outside.

Very comfy rooms and so quiet at night.
