Desert Retreat Camp

Exceptional stay, friendly staff, very personal, amazing location close to big sand dune, delicious food and very good for children! Perfect spot for a calm retreat in the middle if the desert - we will be back!!

Posizione suggestiva nel deserto, atmosfera naturale molto bella. • Esperienza potenzialmente unica se ben gestita. • Personale gentile nei modi, nonostante la difficoltà nel gestire l’affluenza. • Area comune esteticamente piacevole e possibilità di passare del tempo attorno al fuoco.

• Prezzo circa doppio rispetto a una notte normale senza alcun servizio aggiuntivo reale. • Sovraffollamento evidente: il camp non era in grado di gestire il numero di ospiti. • Carta igienica terminata presto e non rifornita. • Cena insufficiente per tutti: porzioni limitate e poca scelta, dolci finiti prima di arrivare a tutti. • Nessuna disponibilità di tè, caffè o bevande per attendere la mezzanotte. • La musica attorno al fuoco si è interrotta molto presto, senza atmosfera da Capodanno. • Nessuna risposta alla nostra richiesta successiva di chiarimenti e richiesta di rimborso parziale.

Location was ok

More guests accapted to stay for new year then they could manage. Not enough seats for all guests. Toilets are shared, food and service very limited. Way over priced for what you get. Better go to Wadi Rum in Jordan for better and more luxury desert experience for 1/10th of the price. No need to stay overnight, you can also experience this desert on a day trip or camping by yourself..

A very nice and unique stay! The bed and the tent were comfortable. You even had your own private bathroom. The food was delicious and well prepared. The staff were friendly. The surroundings were beautiful! We also did the Dune Bashing activity. It wasn’t constantly high speed, but also a great guided tour through the desert with some explanations and stops. Highly recommended!! So if you’re looking for a unique desert experience in Oman, you can definitely book this stay!

Honest, quiet, helpfull. The owner made us feel really comfortable! We are very thankful for our amazing night in the desert camp retreat. Dune bashing and camel ride is highly recommended!!

location in the desert with sand dunes the good english of the manager of the camp and his ability to talk about Oman country beyond basic business small-talk

the blankets were smellling a bit 10 min camel ride was too expensive (we didn't do it) the accommodation and 4WD transportation (55+25=80 OR) were a little bit expensive despite included dinner & breakfast considering the affordable cost of food in Oman

Das Personal war fantastisch, das Essen sehr lecker. Wir sind durch die Wüste gefahren mit einem osmanischen Guide. Die Fahrt war wunderbar.

Es ist sehr authentisch, eines der ersten Camps überhaupt. Besitzer und Mitarbeiter super freundlich und hilfsbereit! Für uns das perfekte Camp!

Das Camp ist wirklich in der Wüste und nicht nur ganz am Rande.

Es gab überraschend viel (lauten) Fahrzeugverkehr.
