Panagsama Holiday Cottage

Very spacious. Within the centre where lots of restos, cafes and bars are just few steps away. Close to the beach. Strong internet connection!!!

This is my honest review. I like the place if i visit Moalboal again i'd still consider this place mainly due to its location. However things could be improved. 1. I checked in late around 4pm but there's no one in the reception area so I had to wait for a couple of minutes. Good thing I was assisted by a guy who said he works there. The caretaker came who thought I was cancelling my booking coz she thought I booked for May 7-8. I think this results to item number 2. 2. The house seemed uncleaned and unprepped. I was barefooted for the first hours inside the house and the floor felt very dusty until I saw my soles were really dark lol so I had to wear my slippers inside. Would be great if they provide indoor slippers for guests. Also, there's a chewing gum stuck on the lamp. Yuck! 3. Too many ants. Esp on the kitchen table. 4. A/C was not blowing cold air in the first 3 hours. I had to use the fan but it got colder during the night. 5. I had no water at some point. I wanted to use the toilet but I had to hold because of no water. I messaged the owner who was not really apologetic and said it will be back anytime soon. Glad it did! 6. Bedsheets and pillow weren't really comfortable to me. I feel like they weren't changed or something. The blanket was very thin. Lol

On arrival it was immediately apparent that the accommodation did not fit the description or the photos online. The property was poorly maintained and many of the electrical sockets and appliances were unsafe. The property was grubby and mats unclean. The bedding and towels were worn and thread bare. The bathroom and fittings were dirty and mouldy. The outdoor communal area could not be used, furniture was broken and the area was being used for storage and an office area. There was metal and building materials left around which was dangerous. The owners would not engage about the problems and were uninterested. There is noise 24hours a day from motorcycles and cars and dogs barking at night. It was apparent that the accommodation is a family home rented out.

Everything is nice. The staffs are welcoming, the location is perfect and near to establishments, the property itself is clean and comfortable to stay in.

Older Lady was fantastic, a real hardworker, great to chat to and always smiling. Quantity of space is a real bargain. This is a real western size apartment not a mini Filipino "apartment" Everything was available (sometime you have to search about or ask) but Mother or sons are willing to help. Aircon was great. Nice and quiet at night. Felt very safe with security(?) sleeping outside. A nice chat at 3am. Water free I 100% recommend and would definitely come back❣

TV didn't work,only an issue as the Wifi cut off for 10hours(great most of the time) Lastly was not knowing who was "the caretaker"(The woman had 9 kids who used the area)So I had no idea of who to approach that could help. Boys were helpful and polite if I asked however the young girls were sulky, stomping about,near naked. New shower head needed. (No issues that cant be fixed)

This is my first negative review even though I travel a lot. We had a very bad experience at Panagsama holiday cottage. After our arrival we were requesting an immediate cancellation of our booking. We had booked One-Bedroom House and Duplex Suite. I just don't understand the good reviews of this accommodation... The photos do not show reality. There is a big mess all around the house. The interiors are very unkempt, old, dysfunctional, there is a lot of dirt everywhere, terrible smell, rodent droppings in the kitchen cabinets, cockroaches everywhere, refrigerators and freezers were absolutely disgusting, incredibly dirty bathroom. The owner (our host) was very unpleasant and rude via mobile App. We explained to her (polite way) why we decided to cancel our stay. She responded: " You got what you paid for…" Non-apologies, such as “sorry for the inconvenience, trouble and stress caused“ I strongly advise against staying at this accommodation! It is really dangerous to your health!
