Kencana Garden

Kencana was a very affordable accomodation for our 6 night stay in Nusa Lembongan. Our bungalow (one of about 8) was very spacious and suited our family of 4. The room was very clean. The pool was great as it had two different depths. As the accommodation was small, we often had the pool to ourselves on some days. It was very relaxing. Location: It was a 10 minute stroll to Mushroom bay via the shortcut through the bush (walking with kids). 3 minute walk to Tamarind Beach. Mushroom bay beach is lovely for swimming and has some nice restaurants/resorts along the beach to eat and swim at. Tamarind Beach is probably not the best for swimming but from there you can take a lovely walk along a board walk (leading to other beaches and restaurants). Also a cute book cafe at Tamarind Beach is definately worth a look. The food was delicious. Breakfast was simple but filling (eggs on toast/banana pancakes/nasi Goreng/mi goreng). Staff were friendly and helpful if we needed anything liked transport booked. The cute dog called Cripic was a hit with the kids. Very good value for money!

Only breakfast was available (No lunch/dinner). And also no alcohol available to purchase.

Nice Bali styled bungalow with outside bathroom behind a big wall. Big sized bed. Great size pool.

didn.t have kettle or cups for making coffee in the room. but we asked and they gave them to us.

Fijne rustige plek voor ons gezin van 4. We hebben genoten van de accomodatie, het zwembad en de omgeving.

Sehr schöne Bungslows, toller Pool und herzliches Personal. Scooter ausleihen oder Schnorcheltour alles vor Ort buchbar zu guten Preisen. Scooter braucht man.

Ab und zu lautes Hundegebell gegen Abend oder früh morgens!

We loved our stay here. Large rooms, nice breaky, great pool, amazing price point for what you get and lovely staff especially Kadek who was just so kind and helpful. Very happy with our stay and would recommend to our family and friends without any hesitation.

Hadden een familiekamer voor 4 personen, bedden waren heerlijk. Kamer was erg schoon en werd goed bijgehouden. Zwembad was groot en de kids konden er heerlijk spelen. Mushroom beach was minuut of 8 lopen dus was top.(Wandelpad)

Met de auto of scooter is het wat lastiger te bereiken door wat gammele wegen en afgelegen,, maar dat is de algehele staat van de wegen op nusa lembongan.

Très grande et très confortable chambre. Jardin luxuriant, grande piscine. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour

I booked this place because of the high rankings, and I’ve proven it myself—it’s absolutely worth it. The property is very clean, well-maintained, and the photos speak the truth. We stayed in the Family Room for a group of four and it was very comfortable. Our room was impeccably clean with excellent water pressure, which was a huge plus. The 5-star service from the host and staff was excellent. It’s great to see such a professionally managed place by a local owner. A heads-up on the access: the island’s infrastructure is currently poor with broken roads, but this is definitely not the property’s fault. Overall, very recommended!

Everything was great, but adding more physical signage for the hotel would be very helpful. It would make the property easier to find for guests who might not want to rely solely on Google Maps, especially given the current road conditions.

Fabulous little hideaway, like a little hidden retreat. One of my favourite places I stayed in Bali... 10 mins walk to Mushroom beach, hidden beach is also up /down couple laneways, beautiful. And you have a super restaurant Warung Maken Kevin nearby - absolutely gorgeous local cuisine, and then the bookstore for air-con, coffee, and space to just 'be' or work! Super location to retreat from the world for a few days or weeks!

PLEASE BE AWARE: When you head from Kencana to Mushroom Bay Beach - you go down the lane opposite Kencana, take a left and then turn right for Mushroom Bay... there is a Money Changer literally on the corner (on your right - just before L-Good) he has a souvenir shop too. He is a Conman, he counts money in front of you, insists on recounting after you have - and is exceptionally good at disappearing money - 3x he did it until I could get the right amount (I only noticed first time when back at Kencana), he recounts and wraps it and hands it to you! *THIS IS Nothing to do with Kencana, but strangely they didn't even offer to assist me when I had clearly been robbed - yet I am a guest, and female solo traveller, I've been travelling for 30+ years, I am very careful and streetwise... but I am blessed in the trust and support of the locals, and of course Bali is extraordinary for this - this was an unfortunate experience, not in anyway to with Kencana - but the lack of support was disappointing.
