Property Notes

The check-in time on House Boat (Spice Coast Cruises) is at 1300 hrs and the boat then sets off cruising along the backwaters of Alleppey and Kumarakom till sunset. Around 1800 hrs, the boat will be anchored to avoid interfering with the fishermen of the lake and their nets. The boats come with bedrooms with attached bathroom that are air-conditioned (from 1900 hrs to 0700 hrs ). On the following day after breakfast, the boat will start cruising again and you will be dropped back to the jetty by 1000 hrs.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. A deposit may be required at the property.

"One of the best experiences of my life!"

A brilliant concept, curated beautifully by CGH Earth. Makes one appreciate the untouched serenity of the Vembanad backwaters, delicious Keralam cuisine and ridiculously brilliant hospitality. Darvit, Sanal and Sam were absolutely wonderful friends and made sure we had the most pleasant stay.

The crew were absolutely wonderful, and I would highly recommend this experience — it was truly unforgettable. We went at the end of April when the weather was quite hot, but the team on board made sure we were comfortable at all times. The AC running throughout the night, and during the day, the breeze on the boat kept things surprisingly pleasant. The chef on board was also fantastic. Every dish was delicious, and the portions were incredibly generous! Overall, the experience had such a great atmosphere, amazing hospitality, and was one of the highlights of our trip to South India.

The whole experience itself was 10/10. Great food, staff, local village walk and incredible views.

Communication about payment was confusing and we nearly ended up paying twice. Direct payment on arrival would be better. On booking.com it says “full board” but this doesn’t include alcohol, which is extra.

"Stunning boat experience"

It was one of the best travelling experiences we’ve had! We spent 1 night on the boat which was perfect to soak up the stunning surroundings. The boat trip was so peaceful and beautiful. The staff were professional and friendly. There was so much food and it was all delicious and very high quality. The boat was so comfortable and the amenities were impressive (comfy bed, mosquito nets, aircon, shower). You won’t regret booking this!
