The old Aussie motels are pretty reliable. Mix this will old fashioned hospitality and you'll find the Plains Motel Gunnedah. Peter offered us an early check-in as we had to attend a funeral. His family then gave us a lift to the wake as the taxi was taking so long. The a/c was already on so we arrived to a cool room on a 39 degree day. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
