Parkgate Farm

Excellent location, close to main road. Easy access to England's highest mountain Scafell Pike :) , obviously conquered. As well as to Muncaster Castle. A must-see, the entrance fees are staggering but well worth it. Beautiful live show of cheetahs, hawks, owls, and eagles. Saturdays and Sundays are not enough to see everything, but the starting point is great with access to a donkey farm, a beautiful landscape of mountains, and forest paths. On foot, you can walk up to Irton Pike.The perfect place for kids, my 10 and 16 year olds.

It would be nice if someone checked that the heating thermostat was working before the visit, as the night-time temperatures in April are not very spoiling ;)

What an amazing stay, views were brilliant had such an enjoyable stay. Staff were amazing and couldn’t be more helpful with different things. Facilities I couldn’t fault, I will definitely be returning in the near future.

Beautiful location, stunning Lodge, lovely staff.

Slight issue with damp in the bathroom which needs to be addressed but the rest of the lodge was immaculate.
