Charming place, a real oasis of peace in the bustling Marrakech. Great location - there were many nice places to eat and enjoy refreshing drinks around the riad. Just a short walk from many major attractions. The riad itself was very beautiful, renovated and clean. Great interior and comfortable, beautiful, well-kept room. But the main added value and special experience was the responsive team, especially the hosts themselves, Michelle and Grant. We felt so well looked after and truly relaxed during these days. They give us a lot of valuable tips and suggestions that made our experience in the city much easier and better. We would definitely recommend Riad Assakina and would love to come back again.

There are no things we didn't like.

This was a long-awaited return to Riad Assakina, this time with our family, and it exceeded our already high expectations. The Riad is beautifully decorated - Michele's inspired eye for detail and luxury is fa exceptionally welcoming yet relaxed host. The rest of the staff are as charming as they are efficient - absolutely nothing is too much trouble for their guests. If you are planning to stay at the Assakina, I would urge you to take up Michele's recommendations about Marrakech - from shopping to sight-seeing to fine dining, her guidance added enormously to our time there. We look forward to returning in the near future.

I don’t know where to start in my praise of this property! Let me start by saying that if you are deciding if you should book or not, Do IT! The Riad is stunning, an oasis in the amazing, vibrant madness that is Marrakesh. The hosts Michelle and Grant felt like old friends within minutes of meeting them, they are fabulous hosts who go way and beyond the extra mile to make your stay the best it can be. They were friendly, informative, very knowledgeable of their local area and made our visit the best it could be. Michelle provided so much information it made my head spin! and was always spot on for every recommendation of places to eat, drink and visit. The Riad itself was gorgeous and the attention to detail in decoration, comfort (bedding was divine) and so clean. Their team is amazing and so friendly. We ate there one night in the courtyard and that is something to do if you get the chance. They also made what could have been a nightmare when our next property cancelled a drama, into a good excuse for another night to stay, and the help with this was much appreciated. In terms of feeling like I am in a home from home (that is way better than home) it is the best place I have ever stayed. If I go back to Marrakesh I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else. In fact it might be the thing that would take me back. Thanks to all the amazing team at Assakina

Having to leave

Riad Assakina is a paradise in the midst of the beautiful busy and chaotic Marrakech ! we were treated like family guests .. every detail was attended to .. from our arrival to departure we knew they had our back .. introduced us to other guests by name .. these hosts are special !!!

absolutely nothing

Beautiful riad near all the tourist sights in Marrakech. Just down the street from the Badi palace. Staff is incredible and will go to great lengths to make your stay comfortable. Rooms are beautiful and well appointed. Good noise insulation and full bathrooms in a European style made for a comfortable stay. Good AC. Would highly recommend. Food was excellent - dinner and included breakfasts.

Nothing significant

My sister and I really felt taken care of. Michelle went the extra mile to make us feel welcome in her Riad. The team went the extra mile with guidance and information on navigating the city. The afternoon tea is such a beautiful touch! I will be back again for sure! The trip wouldn’t have been so amazing without Riad Assakina!
