Cowbridge Cabins

A clean, comfortable room with everything we needed as well as a lovely outdoor area to sit. Towels, mini fridge and tea/coffee supplies, TV and wifi. The room was lovely and warm too. We were supplied with the room code the day before arrival and had no problem getting in. A 10 minute walk into Cowbridge was perfect for the event we were attending. Over all we were really pleased and would stay there again.

We didn’t get a confirmation of the room name or number. we arrived not knowing which cabin we were in. No one was answering the phone, once we guessed the room with the code that had been given (luckily called the day before and he mentioned the room code) We found a dirty pull out sofa bed, covered with brown stains. Marks on the furniture and hair in the bed. We tried to speak to the person on the phone but he wasn’t interested and hung up. I’ve requested a refund twice , contacted booking.com multiple times who have tried to contact the property only for it to ignored.

So impressed with this whole process Stayed 1 night for a wedding nearby and was amazed at the quality and standard of everything here.

A convenient location for us, and we walked into Cowbridge for a coffee. The bed was actually very comfortable so we slept well despite a bit of road noise from the A48. It was a cold couple of days and although the cabin was cold when we arrived, the heater was effective given time.

Our initial reaction was that it was just what we needed for a couple of nights but then we started spotting issues ... starting with ants ... only half a dozen worker ants on constant patrol. The shower drained VERY slowly so we kept having to stop the water to avoid it overflowing. The bedding was clean but stained. The sofa bed wasn't particularly comfortable to sit on. While there was a fridge, microwave, a kettle and tea/coffee/milk plus 3 mugs and spoons, that was it. If you wanted to make some dinner there was nothing to eat it off nor was there anything to eat it with. Very odd. The microwave was really redundant. Plus the microwave was a bit grotty/rusty so that was disappointing. For £80 a night my expectations were not particularly high but we would have had a better experience going to something like a Best Western hotel which is what we'll do another time. I think similar issues have been commented on before by other visitors so such a shame that they haven't been attended to.
