Riad Hissan

Riad is well located 5min walk to a gate to the road (easier for taxis and Ubers) and also near some very cool shops and restaurants. The riad itself is absolutely charming: small, quiet, charming, well run.

I think most riads have a noise issue because of the vertical way the common areas are stacked atop the room floors. That said, I was woken up by loud talking by guests after flying in from the U.S. But this isn’t something the riad can do anything about.

La chambre sans aération

Muito, muito bom. Localização bem perto do centro (Praça Jemaa el-Fna), deu para percorrer todas as ruas e vielas. Mesmo os museus e monumentos que visitámos (Palácio El-Badi, Jardim Majorelle, Museu Yves de Saint-Laurent, Mesquita Koutoubia) eram acessíveis sem a necessidade de recorrer a transportes públicos. O pessoal do Riad Hissan é fantástico. Sempre simpáticos, prestáveis e atentos aos nossos pedidos (em especial o simpático Mobarak, que deixou uma marca especial na nossa família). Quartos muito bons, com limpeza diária magnífica. Os pequenos almoços superaram tudo aquilo que podíamos esperar. Com grande variedade de produtos regionais, eram diferentes todos os dias. Excelente confecção. Parabéns ao pessoal da cozinha. Não podia ter sido melhor, damos nota máxima ao Riad Hissan. Família Brighton (Portugal)

El acceso al Riad un poco escondido

The staff. Mubarak was warm, helpful and always had a smile on his face. The ambience. We could tell that a lot of thought was put into the decor from the wall colours, the trinkets along the corridors and the lighting. The rooftop was one of the highest in the area so we had a good view of the surrounding riads and the Koutoubia. Location. Even though the riad is in the souk, it's located at the end of a quiet street so it feels private. The little touches: We had an early departure and they delivered breakfast to our room so we could eat before leaving. Our room was also cleaned daily, but the highlight was coming back to find my daughter’s stuffed animals playfully arranged on the bed. It gave us a laugh.

On the last night, we discovered that we could use the kitchen to make hot water and use the laundry facilities. I only wished this was shared with us when we first arrived.

The building was gorgeous. The Deluxe Double Room was spacious and comfortable. Mubarak, who manned the desk, was helpful and friendly! Rooms were cleaned and tidied thoroughly everyday, with daily fresh towels. Could not have asked for a better Riad experience across our 5 day stay in Marrakech.

Because the walls were quite thin, noise travelled around quite a lot, especially if your room was on the ground floor.
