Riad Chameleon

Light and close to the medina, we could walk to the main areas within 30mins, taxis were easily accessible out the medina gate a short walk. The staff were exceptional, polite, genuinely intrigued as to how your day was, insightful on the inner workings of Marrakech, just outstanding hosts could not recommend staying there more. My partner is gluten free and they went out of their way to accommodate for her needs daily for breakfast.

Medhi met us at the gate a few minutes walk away from the Riad & he explained the landmarks so we could easily remember the way back after we ventured out on our own. Our welcome to the Riad was very warm and we immediately felt comfortable. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We had Morrocan tea & delicious biscuits on arrival and Medhi gave us all the information we needed to know about the area. The Riad is in a good location. All the staff are excellent & work hard to make the Riad a very nice place to stay. Medhi & Murat were really helpful in telling us about Marakesh & places to visit. Lovely traditional breakfast, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, omelette, fresh bread, pancakes, muffin, honey, orange preserve and plenty of very nice Morrocan coffee in a thermos coffee jug so every cup is hot. Breakfast is served up on the sun terrace or if it's chilly in covered area. Our room was very nice, traditional Morracan, very clean, plenty of hot water, comfortable bed & nice quality pillows & bedding and huge fluffy towels which were changed everyday. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone visiting Marakesh. Thank you Murat, Medhi & all the staff.

Dire che questo riad ha superato le nostre aspettative sarebbe riduttivo. Fin dal primo momento, non ci siamo sentiti semplici turisti, ma ospiti a casa di vecchi amici. Nonostante il nostro volo fosse atterrato ben oltre la mezzanotte, l'organizzazione è stata impeccabile. Il riad ha messo a nostra disposizione un autista privato che ci aspettava puntuale in aeroporto. Arrivati all'esterno della Medina, un membro dello staff era lì ad attenderci fuori dalle mura per accompagnarci a piedi fino al riad, facendoci sentire subito a nostro agio tra i vicoli della città vecchia. Una volta arrivati, nonostante l'ora tarda, siamo stati accolti con un calore immenso e una cena deliziosa preparata con cura infinita appositamente per noi. È stato il benvenuto più bello che potessimo desiderare dopo una lunga giornata di viaggio. La struttura è un’oasi di pace: curatissima in ogni dettaglio, pulitissima e molto accogliente. Ogni mattina siamo stati viziati con colazioni tipiche spettacolari, un vero trionfo di prelibatezze marocchine fresche che ci hanno permesso di scoprire i sapori più autentici della tradizione locale. Il valore aggiunto di questa struttura è lo staff. La loro gentilezza e cortesia non sono mai state formali, ma sincere e calorose. Abbiamo trovato degli amici, persone pronte ad accoglierci con un sorriso, racconti locali e un tè alla menta dopo le lunghe camminate nella Medina, rendendo ogni rientro un momento di puro relax accompagnati dalle fusa della mascotte del Riad Hagrid. Grazie di cuore Mourad, Mehdii, Ismail e tutti i componenti dello staff. Non vediamo l'ora di ritornare.

The location is not central

A calm and tranquil place to stay away from the hustle and bustle. Very welcoming and friendly staff, and a great breakfast included on the roof terrace. To top it off it comes with a resident cat, so great for feline lovers too!
