Strand Motel

There needs to be a notice to inform the hot plates are convection so don't heat unless the convection equipment is sitting in them. The manager was unpleasant about my need to know how to get heat without pan on hot plate. Told me I'd been upgraded to a bottom level as I'd asked for a quiet room. He showed resentment about it as he raised it when I arrived and more so when I needed help to get heat to cook food. I'm sure other guests wouldn't be familiar with convection cooking requirements.

It’s a retro seventies motel, which I really like. Location is awesome, great views over the harbour. Waterfront and minutes walk to cafes and restaurants.

The double bed on one side was good but it had a hard round piece on the other side so I’m glad my husband wasn’t with me. The shower had very little weak flow so just a dribble . The room was cold so I had the heater on all night and grabbed an extra blanket off the single bed.

Location great.

Not enough blankets. Electric blanket only a single one turned sideways so bottom half of bed cold.

Excellent stay, nice clean comfortable unit, and good location. Great price and the owner was very accommodating.
