We enjoyed our stay very much. It was very central located - close to bicycle rental, you can walk to main attractions and bus stop closeby. Hosts were very friendly and helpful - thank you!

There are two units. One has an aircon and one not. We were in the unit without an aircon. The days we were there were not very hot but when it is hot you would like to be able to use an aircon.

The guests were super nice! It was a very cute little apartment with all the needed for a cute stay in a lovely town.

We absolutely loved this place! The unit was cozy and beautifully decorated. The host was very responsive, helpful, and also made everything so easy. We’d definitely stay here again.

The hosts are friendly and they gave us a good guide to see the village. The place is great, beautiful, modern, very clean and well equipped. There’s a supermarket a just a few minutes walk. Parking included. The best part is that you have option to rent a boat directly with them. You get the boat at the door of your houseboat! So you don’t need to go to the very touristic place to rent one. If you have the option to rent for the day… you can get a really good tour for all the little villages around Giethoorn (no tourists and same beautiful)

The boat was situated in a harbor just outside the village center. A supermarket and tourist attractions were closed by.

There is no room to put anything you brought with you.

This was our first time staying on a house boat and we loved it - the location, the facilities, as well as the view. With the house boat came an extra boat that we were able to rent during our stay in order to explore Giethoorn by boat. There is a bus stop right opposite of the house boat which is very convenient if you come by public transport. Our overall experience, also with the owners, was generally very positive and they were very helpful when it came to recommending places to go for lunch/dinner/coffee and even grocery shopping. Since the house boat was such an authentic and unique experience to us, we would always decide to come back.

The way the owners handled the logistics with regards to the extra boat was a bit disappointing though: we had booked the boat for a full day a few months prior to our stay, which we paid for eventually. However, we were only able to use the boat for half a day and a little bit for the following day as they had slotted in other guests for the use of the boat last minute. As such, we had to take the boat out for an additional half a day on the day we were supposed to check out, also when it was raining, unfortunately. The owners did suggest we take their neighbours boat, but had also mentioned that the other group would only need it for an hour or two, which would have been fine for us, as not to make a big deal of it. It eventually took them 4-5 hours instead and we had spent half our day waiting around for it.
