Lovely cabin, delicious restaurant. Would stay again.

You will love this place. Everything has been thought of, so you can just relax. Quiet, clean, newer and well maintained, insulated, fully stocked accomodation with fast wifi and an incredible view of the sea and, if you are lucky, southern lights. Stunning nature all arround and a beautiful beach just a few steps away. Lovely staff, good food and last, but not least, very good price / performance ratio.

We can only recommend this accomodation, as it is on a level that is usually not available in New Zealand. Top notch.

The view from the window was stunning and the room was very well decorated The best bit was the dinner we had in the cafe. The food was delicious and the views were great. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay

It wasn’t really a motel and more of a hotel / cabin. There wasn’t anywhere to prepare any food and the bathroom was only separated by a shower curtain. Also you needed to walk about 100m from the car park to the room. A luggage trolley was available but it would have been a struggle if you couldn’t pull it up the incline. It would have been good to know in advance as we weren’t sure we were in the right place to start with! It’s a small thing though as overall a great stay.

This was a magical getaway location very private next to nature

We were "upgraded" from the motel room to a lodge room. Large room, very comfortable bed, outside deck for warmer days with less wind, very quiet and private. The optional (for purchase) dinner at the Cafe restaurant was excellent.

Chose this motel for the ocean view. There were heavy seas running and facility pictures (motel room) indicated that we would have a good view. It is a little misleading, the beach is a fair distance away and viewed across a grassy field. Maybe a good view with binoculars. Maybe my expectations were unrealistic!

The view from the room was absolutely fabulous, the owners super welcoming and we enjoyed one of our best meals in New Zealand at The Cliffs' restaurant.

The remote location, the beautiful scenery… the whole lot was perfect!
