The tent: Electric blanket did not provide much warmth in 10 degrees even wearing layers and with an additional fluffy blanket. There was water on the floor of my tent, and there was no chair or luggage rack. Only 1 plug as far as I could see. No wifi. No phone service. The facilities: The kitchen smelt musty and like it hadn’t been opened in months. The fridge loses power every night according to a sign on the wall. No hot or cold water tap. Washing machine was ancient, didn’t even attempt to use it. Toilets were subpar as well as the shower facilities. Given that it is marketed as “glamping” and that the main estate has clearly had some money put into it, the glamping kitchen and bathroom facilities could have been much better. Some money clearly needs to be put into this to renovate and provide a modern bathroom facility. With more than 1 shower for the whole camp, and more of an enclosed building. Kitchen also needs major renovations. The staff Was not greeted by any staff. Messaged a contact listed on the piece of paper left on my bed to inform that it was absolutely freezing and I could not stay there, and was told that they “did not have access to the bank” - I’m sure there is some way - and they could not give me a refund. Despite their policy being no refunds, I believe that there should be some flexibility with this. The price: Too expensive given the time of year and the quality of the facilities. It is far from “glamping”, and more like regular camping, just with a bed. I would still like a refund if possible. My stay: Had to leave 3 hours after I arrived and spent $300 on a hotel room - that was warm and had a decent bathroom and heating! And the fridge didn’t shut off every night! Overall: Not worth it. Should not be marketed as glamping, simply camping. Price should also reflect the lack of facilities and the time of year.

The campsite is lovely but having the lighting on would’ve made it more appealing to sit out and have a few drinks. It was a quiet night though :)
