Swiss Motel

I got my room, when into it and noted that it smelled of cigarette smoke, The bathroom toilet literally had human excrement in it " NOT FLUSHED" there were no towels or toilet paper and the bedding and one pillow had only what I can assume was pee stains. Also the garbage can in the kitchenette had used condom wrappers in it. I all most gaged. Really Pissed off now, I went outside to go back to the office to ask for a new room as this one was obviously not clean and I ran into a woman right outside my door free basing Cocaine on the patio with a lighter and some tin foil!!!!!!! there was another woman there smoking a cigarette who saw me notice this and said, Oh Baby, She just came from DSS and She's kind of F&^% UP,,,,,She knows she needs to smoke that crack around the corner. I was like .....WHAT!!!!! I spoke with this other woman for a second and she explained that Apparently the Department of Social services lodges Homeless women there.

It is it what it is don't get your hopes up but for me it was the location that made it very convenient. I had to go to a wedding in the area and we stayed here for 2 nights. I left a sports coat in the closet and they saved it for me. I returned months later when I was out in Long Island and they still had the jacket.

I stayed at this Swiss motel for a night. This motel was the only accommodation I was able to find. This place was run down and not properly cleaned. I would not stay at Swiss Motel again. I do not recommend.

if u dont mind the the over priced beat up stinky rooms have fun getting to your car with the hookers drug dealers and junkies rooming the parking lot..if thats not enough the owner had someone hold a gun to my head after staying there 7 months and being 2 days late with the rent...and if that dosen't shock you its a animal friendly hotel cept the maid hates animals and wont clean your room intill you leave..no phones in rooms owner (if youre staying long)will rent your room to hookers and druggies short stays if you leave for the day..the owners not from this country and hasn't grasped the laws of the land and thinks hes in 1800s middle east..summer rates will run you more then a 3 star hotel and givn this hotel a half of a star would be pushing it..if you don't mind walking in piles of drug baggies and crack stems pull up a dirty pillow and relax lol i had to pay 600 bucks for internet seeing there system is post 1999 dont do it even if theres no other place sleep in your car..

The room was very comfortable. The service was great. We had the top floor corner overlooking the river. Beautiful view. The place was quiet and relaxing and very clean. The morning coffee was fabulous. I would definitely go again. Nice bargain.

Without question if the room was free I would not return. My sons bedroom is kept better than this. Really dirty. Asked for an extra pillow and was told NO, only 2 pillows to a room. NO PHONES!! No cups or glasses. Read all the other reviews and then multiply by 10. Did I mention this was $166 a night? Sub-standard should be a goal for them.

SInce it had been newly renovated we thought the motel would be a good deal. It was NOT. There was urine on the toilet and hair on the shower walls. The floor was filthy and the room was simply generally unclean. I would not recommend it no matter how tight you budget is.

...but we had a reservation and no place else to go on short notice. When I saw it on Tripadvisor, I liked the price and the pictures of the river, but those were the only good things about this place. (Actually, it's over priced.) I thought the people with the negative reviews might be "fussy", which I'm not. I wish I had believed them. I'm not a clean freak, but this place is dirty. The thick soap scum around the bathroom faucets was brown and caked. An old heater register near the floor in the bathroom was broken, bent, and covered with rust and dirt. The blinds were caked with dirt, the top of the TV, the top of the microwave, I could go on and on.....This was just one room, but I doubt that they clean any of them. The bed had a new mattress and bedspread, but just a sheet. No blanket. And the back of the bedspread is becoming soiled from its use in place of a blanket. They also rent rooms to long- term tenants and there were some strange looking men hanging around the place. The manager looked angry, and I wouldn't dare ask for anything. Staying here was the low point of our trip.

Looks nice from the outside and it's a pretty piece of property. The things you are likely to touch in the room look clean, but around the edges of the floors there is lots of dirt, lint and who knows what. Walls had globs of something on them, back of the door was revolting. Given the location and scarcity of hotels out this way I have no idea why the owner doesn't upgrade. He could certainly charge more. I have stayed in Days Inns and Motel 6s that are worse, but this is not nice.

Ewwwww, OMG and more. We walked in and ran the hell out. Requested our money back, after threatening we'd call the cops. We got our money back. 4 Girls on a girls weenend trip, a little wine tasting and some shopping and we were hoping for a nice nights sleep. Absolutely not. I won't go on with details. I would never stay there or ever recommend this place. For a $170 night that is crime. Pay more stay someplace else.
