"Beautiful Riad, relaxing stay, 15 minutes safe walk to Souks"

10.0

Wow effect by entering the property and visiting the rooms and the terasse. Beautiful, large and clean rooms, gorgeous terrasse, tasty food, and friendly & helpful staff and owner (organised airport transfer, useful tips for restaurants and souks). We enjoyed our stay very much, in the mornings, evenings and chilling in the afternoon. ATM and shops for water around the corner. Located in the outskirts of the medina. Despite the first impression one may get from the Medina and the area, we felt safe in the area and walking to the central souks (about 1-1.5 km, 15 minutes), also nights at 10pm, local people are friendly and didn't really care about us.

"Beautiful Riad fully suggested"

8.0

The Riad was just so beautiful. So calm and relaxing compared to the stress of the city. The host has been always so nice to us and the terrace is really nice.

The location is not in the city center. You need to be ready to walk a little.

"Very Good"

7.0

No comment

"Well maintained riad away from noise of the city"

8.0

The staff are warm and friendly. My friend and I were greeted by Abdul when we checked in and he took the time to sit down with us (despite our late-night check in) to point out places of interest and perhaps just as importantly, areas that we could skip/avoid. The mint tea he prepared for us was delicious! The Riad is away from the bustle of the city centre but not too far to walk to all the key attractions. For those wanting to use the Marrakech airport shuttle - Bus 19 - (50 Dirhams for a return ticket- can now pay by card!), Jemaa el-Fnaa in the Medina is the last stop before the bus turns around back to the airport. From there, it's about a 20 min walk to the riad. The communal terrace is lovely and a great place to get some sun or just relax with a book. Breakfast in the morning was the same everyday, but generous portions and it was prepared fresh and delicious, and a great way to start the day.

It was made clear when I booked that payment would be in cash (Euro or Moroccan Dirhams) but since Moroccan Dirhams is a closed currency it's not convenient to take out before arriving in the country, and every ATM has a cap on how much you can take out at once, with a fee for every withdrawal. Ideally, we'd be able to pay through Booking.com like many other places to just avoid carrying that much cash. There isn't much soundproofing between the rooms or the courtyard, so I was able to hear other people's conversations and my neighbour's movement in their rooms. The noise the birds made in the early morning was also loud! Another hitch is that you'll need someone on staff to open the Riad door for you anytime you want to come back in.
