Africa Luxury Camps - Merzouga Premium Camp

The staff were very attentive and friendly. The owner is a very nice person, who organised our transport to and from the camp very smoothly and according to our schedule. The 1,5 hour camel ride was a very nice experience. The comfort provided in the tents makes a longer stay enjoyable.

Amazing experience to be out in the Sahara, even if at the fringes of it. The staff was friendly, helpful and shared their culture, music and even dancing with us shy westerners. The facility is beautiful and exotic. The food was clean and tasty. It's the Sahara experience without roughing it out.

We came at the beginning of April and so a word about that is that it is the windy season in the Sahara and the wind can be quite fierce covering and dumping sand everywhere. We had to wait till it cleared in the afternoon. Also, would have liked a longer camel ride though our camel guide Ali was wonderful.

Great service, staff and camp, with camel took aprox. 1,5 h to reach, back 1 h 10 min. Clean, romantic and nice camp with everything what you need. Dinner was great.

It was freezing and there is no heat in the room. We couldn't sleep and the electricity shutdown in the night

there was a lack of consideration- we were a group that wanted some rest but where put in a tent right next to the fire pit, where the music and drumming did not stop until around 11 pm. also the staff did not warn that we had misunderstood their instructional message and did not warn us we were choosing an option 3.5 times more expensive and only told us as we were checking out so be careful when reading instructions.

The considerate staff. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was good. Ability to meet my needs as I am not fully mobile.

Being told to arrive at 1pm whereas we didn't leave for the camp until 6pm. I don't know how we would have survived in the intense heat for the extra 4 hours. It was only at the recommendation of our driver that ensured we arrived at a reasonable time. There were other camps that had tents with more than one window. Choose them instead. You need to catch any cross breeze that is available.
