Had an amazing stay at Surya Chandra, Leo was very helpful and the atmosphere is lovely and calm. The bungalow was very clean, they are beachfront located however you cannot access the beach and will have to travel for a more accessible beach. Overall a very pleasant experience and would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay here. The ocean views were lovely and you could watch the sunrise from your bed. There was a nice swimming pool with comfy loungers and umbrellas. The best part was the proximity to The Chill Penida across the road. A beach club with wonderful food and views. You can also go to the Cactus Club a couple of kms up the road and they provide free transport. Cactus Club is much larger with more daybeds and shade than The Chill. The pool there is incredible.

Surya is not right on the beach. In fact you can't really get to the beach from there. It's next to the road and has a steep staircase to get to the rooms. A handrail would be a good improvement. If you're on the upper level you have two staircases. The rooms were a bit old and dusty with stained sheets and scratchy towels and there was no cleaning done during our 3 night stay. On day 2 they asked if I'd like my room cleaned but when I returned 5 hours later it had not been done. They do not provide drinking water (apart from 2 tiny bottles on arrival) or a refill station so you have to buy water from the shop next door. The manager, Leo, did kindly run down to fetch some for us but it would be better to have a water refill station so we didn't need to use plastic bottles. Having said all that, none of it mattered much, the staff were friendly and we enjoyed staying there. It was cheap and good value so no big deal.

The staff were so friendly and helpful! Leo is just great, as was the young girl (not sure of her name) For the price paid this place was good, and we would go back.. good location, and clean.. staff definitely make it!

Great place and amazing staff Small fridge in room would be a good idea instead of having to go to the one used by everyone - otherwise all good- especially for price paid!!!

Spiagge balneari non erano vicinissime. Si consiglia di affittare uno scooter e visitare tutta la isola

La struttura è vecchiotta Scarsa manutenzione, scarsa pulizia , odore malsano in bagno, la posizione è si vicina alla spiaggia ma la spiaggia è sporca e impraticabile, bisogna per forza spostarsi
