Ao Marama Retreat

Location was handy, peaceful and relaxing. Hosts are friendly and accommodating. Lovely fruit on the trees they didn’t mind us sampling.

The cabins are lovely, nestled nicely into the bush but still with good views over golden bay. Charming and peaceful, Elizabeth was very helpful and friendly.

The steps from the twin cabin to the toilets was a little tricky to navigate at night time.

We loved the location of the retreat on the headland above the beach near Collingwood in Golden Bay. Also having our own cabin in the forest and that the accommodation is dog-friendly.

It's our second time staying at this wonderful place. Ao Marama is the perfect place to relax and recharge. The setting encompasses the lovely NZ bush and provides a tranquil environment.

it was true retreat in nature with beautiful starry nights and spectacular sunrises.

Breakfast was not included but facilities were nicely rustic.

All round it was a fantastic place to stay and relax. Awesome views and great walks to be had by all.
