Bobopod Malioboro, Yogyakarta

The pod that we've got is very comfortable located... we've got a shared balcony n big windows in front of our pod... so it's not claustrophobic at all for staying 5 nights there. The staff were very friendly n informative when we asked for walking distance tourist spots (or where to eat) suggestions. The communal bathrooms are cleaned regularly. And they have a proper hairdryer 👍 The Bobobox location is across Malioboro 2 bus (transjogja) stop, so when Malioboro Street is closed, we still can take transjogja n stop a cross the road.

Pod sockets not working properly We had a bit of difficulty when we wanted to charge our mobile in the pod. The Samsung charger head couldn't stay stable in the electric socket, so it failed to charge. Luckily, we brought several different wall chargers, and only POCO wall charger can stay stable as long as all stay still.

The international sockets by bedside are good. My first night stayed at Skyline type pod. Find difficulty in getting up to bed. Better access definitely needed. Asked night receptionist to chg to Earth type pod but was denied…. No flexibility even though both types are priced the same. However another receptionist later and she kindly made the switch. On check out left my cap on reception counter but receptionist made no effort to alert me i left the premises without the cap. Have to come back to recover.

See above comments. The steep steps going up to reception from ground level was a turn off. Bobopod not suited for people with large luggage or have several medium sizes. Also not welcoming with people with heavy loads to go up the stairs. Reception don’t even know of a 24hr food outlet after asking as woke up early for sunrise toir. There is a 24-hr Burger King which i later found out about 50-70 m away.

Like the place near everything n easy to access

The toilet far from the bed... We stay for 4night and already paying for 4 night full. But when we arrive to hotel, u says our bed only available on upper place only... Then we request for lower place for tomorrow, u says it's not available n we have to stay in the same room only without excuse at all... Why??? Customer is always right... U should just give it if it's available... We already pay u with expensive money via online booking... Morever, the breakfast u provide already cool n have smell like an old food... That was really expensive staying with this backpacker room like this u know... How come lahhh... So dessippointed so much... Please i hope u can improve it in future.

Good location

Dirty bathrooms, bed room didn't well maintained still have long hairs!! Disgusting!! there's not provided any locker for luggage, only small locker just enough for shoes!!

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was perfect and the overall experience was great. Only downside was a slightly dirty bathroom. However, everything else made up for it. Suitable for short stay in the middle of malioboro.
