Mana-Nui Motel

The owners are aware that the motel is old and requires updating. However our only real concern was that there is a 9-12 inch step into the shower and that there are no handles to help getting in or out. Once in the shower there was nothing to hang onto at all. The soap dish was rather primitive and past its use by date. There should be no reason at all why a couple of handles could not be installed at a very low cost. Both were in their eighties with one at 88. Shower safety is very important at these ages and cannot be compromised.

Everything, the host was amazing and very friendly. Perfect location aswell.

Bit dated but exceptionally clean and nice and comfy. Had a fantastic time, walked everywhere once had arrived. Friendly owner very nice. We are already organising our next girls weekend away and are definitely staying there again next time

The location was excellent, the unit was perfect, couldn't be faulted. And for a small charge a nice, cooked breakfast supplied.

Great location.Super friendly staff at check-in Walk to shops just outside. Spotlessly clean throughout. Even though it is an older style motel, it has been very well maintained and is most comfortable in every aspect.

Unit is a bit tired and could do with a refurbishment, especially the bathroom. Not much room in the shower and the water pressure was a bit low. Didn't like the extra charge for motel having to wash your used dishes.

The location was good and convenient.

The staff were very rude, judgemental, and made us feel uncomfortable from the start. We simply asked about adding an extra person to the room, and the staff member immediately became negative and started making assumptions. He went on about not wanting “workers” coming in and out at 4am, drinking, or having after-parties, which was not the situation at all. It felt very disrespectful and unwelcoming. He also made unnecessary comments about how we should use the room, like how to sleep and not sitting on couches, which felt over the top and uncomfortable.
