Kayuna Villa

This is a cheap option if you are trying to stay near the beach without beachfront costs. Note that Kayuna is NOT beachfront and does not have beach access, however you can literally walk across the street and go to Mambo Beach which is free for swimming, laying on the sand, etc, and right there is Mambo Beach Resort which has plenty of comfy seating and food. We ate all of our meals at Mambo. Note that in the Kayuna Villas the entire bathroom is outside, there is a rain covering but you will be using the toilet and showering with all kinds of nature. The bedroom was filled with mosquitoes and the seating bench as well as all of the shelves had endless ants. I doused everything in Deet when I arrived and that helped but the mosquitoes will persist. The main doors to the villa, two sliding doors, have a janky lock that could easily be forced open and the doors do NOT seal at all so all manner of bugs and creepy crawlies easily get into your room. That said, if you don't mind living with nature, the AC works strong the whole time and the mosquito net covering the bed worked very well to give me a pleasant sleep. The bed is comfy. Staff was easy to communicate with to book a taxi to/from the ferry (150k IDR). I felt safe as a single woman on the property.

Shower water pressure is very week but it does get hot. Sheets are stained but cleaned. Towels are old and torn but clean. Lots of shelf space for storage in the room. Wifi worked well once I got connected. The safe is small. The safe in my friend's room did not work and management did not care. There is no lighting by the pool at night so not a place to hang out. The eating area was always empty. I never bothered with the food. Something was crawling around on my roof at night. I prayed the thatched roof would keep it out. It did, fortunately.

The location was nice. The bed was comfortable.

The doors didn’t seal so TONS of bugs. Towels smelled like mildew.

Frühstück Hier gibt es den größten Handlungsbedarf seitens Management. Früchteauswahl !!, Nasi Goreng anstatt Mie Goreng anbieten ( Wie in Indonesien Standard) Omelett wurde im Laufe der Woche besser Safe hat nicht funktioniert - keine Öffnung möglich seitens Personal !! Warung bitte hübscher und einladender gestalten - weil hier gab es super leckere Gerichte. Wir waren jeden Abend da!

El desayuno un poco "escaso" en comparación a otros sitios.

Good location, beach less than a minute walk, cafes and bars easy walking distance.

Stains on the bedding but bedding had been cleaned. Quite a few ants so don't have food in the room, or if you do keep it in the fridge.

Great value. There were minor maintenance issues like the taps were loose.

Mooie locatie, mooie huisjes, mooi zwembad ! Ontbijt is niet heel bijzonder maar wel prima, voor de rest is er niets te beleven.
