Kayuna Villa

A lovely stay, I really enjoyed this accommodation. Clean and beautiful. Really good location. The staff were helpful, they even let me extend my stay by a night and keep the same room since I was sick.

It was a good stay.

The bungalows at Villa Kayuna are very comfortable and spacious, and there is enough space between each bungalow to give you privacy on your balcony and in the open bathrooms at the back. The rooms are all built around a lovely swimming pool and garden, and the place is really peaceful. The pool is kept really clean, and the water temperature was perfect. We were given a much appreciated complimentary breakfast every morning of fruit, eggs, toast, jam and a breakfast beverage. There are a few options to choose from. The Villa is located on the main road about 10 minutes taxi ride from the pier, with plenty of restaurants, cafes and dive shops within a 10-15 walk away. The beachfront is across the main road in front of the villa.

The resort looks tired and the pictures on this site plainly dated from when the place was new, which is understandable, however, there appears to have been a lack of maintenance since then. The sun beds in the pool area were rotting and broken in some places. The room was generally worn as we're the gardens. I told the reception that our safe was locked and asked if he could he open it. I was advised that it was broken and none of the safes worked in any of the rooms so had to carry passports and all our valuables wherever we went which was an inconvenience. There were always staff present. We have stayed at 3 other villas on this holiday. These villas cost us in the same region but outclassed Kayuna Villas by miles. We booked for 3 nights and left after two. Just disappointing really.

ayuna This was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in during our 1 month trip around Southeast Asia. If you like the quiet but having an easy access to everything and being close to good restaurants and the centre of town then do not doubt it and choose this place! The rooms are beautiful and very spacious. The bathrooms are beautiful as well and very clean. The swimming pool was great for our last afternoon when we wanted to just chill and relax. And the balconies of the cottages are very nice to sit and read. The garden is beautiful and makes everything very private. And the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We had such a great stay that we wish we had booked at least 5 nights!

The only 2 comments I have for them to work on is that the sunbeds are full of dust so it would be great having them cleaned every day, and that one day we left at 7:30 am and left the sign to make up the room but when we returned at 3 pm the sign was still on and the room was not made up.
