Newby Bridge Country Caravan Park

We stayed at this caravan park last week and overall had a very pleasant stay. The caravan was pretty much spotless on arrival, apart from the odd stray cobweb, and the bedding and towels were immaculate. Everything was in good working order throughout our stay. That said, the site itself was very clean, the location was convenient, and the lady on reception was cheerful, welcoming and extremely helpful. There was sufficient parking for two cars outside the caravan, although it was a little tight.

The only minor issue inside was that the fridge was quite small and would definitely have been a challenge if four people had been staying in the caravan. Given the hot weather, it would have been nice if the windows had been opened before our arrival, as the caravan felt like a furnace when we first got there. It also seemed a little strange that the table and chairs were not actually positioned on the decking area. One disappointment was the location of the caravan. It was right next to the children’s playground and, at times, it became quite noisy in the evenings as some children were unsupervised. This was particularly frustrating as we had specifically been advised that the caravan was not next to the playground.

Absolutely lovely caravan however it should state for particularly small people! The beds are attached to the wall at each end so most people can’t straighten their legs.

The caravan is located right next to a woods with a river running through so there is a terrible smell all day long. It was SO warm and no fans provided so uncomfortabley warm! WiFi doesn’t work which wasn’t a huge issue for us. Also Tv doesn’t have anything other than normal channels which again wasn’t an issue for us but if you take children take a fire stick with you.
