"Unpleasant because of the bed bug experience, and the shower experience."

The location and staff

We found a bed bug after my partner was itching and scratching herself and I could see that she had bites all over her. She found 1-bed bug and I was able to squish it with some TP and flush it down the toilet. My partner got several bed bug bites and we found a few blood spots on the bottom fitted sheet where she laid down. We were disgusted. I was disappointed because we stayed here last year and there wasn't any issues. The owner/staff has always been very nice and helpful. That said, I can't excuse the bed bugs. I inspected our bed and it was just the 1-bed bug we located. My partners mom was in another room 2-doors from our room and didn't have any bed bug issues and her water pressure was barely acceptable according to my partner who took her shower in her moms room. I slept with my partner and didn't experience any bed bug bites but she had them all over her arms and tummy and back. We had to disinfect all of our clothes and luggage which was a hassle. We were really grossed out and couldn't get out of there fast enough. It's unfortunate because the people running this motel are good people. I suspect there was a really unclean guest in this room before us and left these bugs behind. The shower also had very poor water pressure and had black electrical tape wrapped around the fitting. It took far to long to get clean and rinse off the soap and shampoo. The bath towels had a musty smell too.

My room was very nice, clean and quiet. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were nice and kept up. I highly recommend The Eagles Nest Motel. I would definitely come again.

Had a very pleasant stay. The beds were way comfortable and very clean room/ facility. It’s a family owned business. Folks are great and very hospitable. Will definitely stay again.

No coffee in the room.
