A lovely ryokan with an excellent atmosphere and very attentive staff. The team was consistently friendly, polite, and clearly doing their best to ensure a great stay. There is a coffee machine available throughout the day, which is a nice bonus. The property offers two onsen areas, both clean and well-maintained, with good quality amenities. The location is calm and peaceful, yet just a short 5–6 minute walk to the main attractions in Kurokawa village. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a private room, which made the stay feel very exclusive, almost as if we were the only guests. The food was excellent, prepared with high-quality local ingredients. Having visited several ryokans in Kurokawa, Ichinoi stands out as the best in terms of location, overall vibe, and service. It feels like a modern ryokan in a positive sense still very authentic, but with all the comfort and convenience of modern amenities. Everything is easy to navigate and not overcrowded, which adds to the relaxing experience. Definitely looking forward to my next visit.

Best accommodation experience in Japan so far.

ゆっくりできた、職員の人に対しての対応はとてもよかった。食事も大変においしかったです。

やはり階段ばかりで足の悪い人には大変だった。全体的に黒川温泉が階段、坂が多かったです。部屋の鍵がなかなか開閉できなくて大変でした。

スタッフさんも笑顔で、若くて、素晴らし対応。 お料理も、お部屋も、温泉も最高でした。

お布団が薄くて、寒かった

The onsen was amazing. We used the separate gender ones mostly since they had open-air onsens. However, we also rented a private onsen once, which was nice. The meals were fantastic! We enjoyed all of the food. It was so delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming. We had everything we needed. The room was comfortable and had space to sit down and hang out. We loved it here!

Everything was simply great and very friendly.

Better instructions to reach the place would be a plus.

Ryokan de très grande qualité. Onsen intérieur, extérieur et privatif très agréable. Repas simplement exceptionnels avec des produits locaux de grand qualité. Personnel agréable et à l'écoute.

Route d'accès comme clairement annoncée un peu difficile.
