Prima resort, met nette service. En behulpzaam personeel wat in is voor praat.

hygiëne is niet aan de Nederlandse maatstaaf, maar dat nergens in deze omgeving. Nemen zo als het is kan prima. Water is regel matig kou maar bij 30+ is dat niet zn ramp en snel klaar

The Demara was a lovely presented resort, quiet and private, the gardens were lovely and our little Joglo was gorgeous. Well kept and spacious, the bedding was well present ed with the little animal shapes and there was enough privacy. The outdoor bathroom was nice but it needed a couple more stepping stones as not enough to stand on properly. The pool was clean and maintained and there were plenty of pool lounges. When we stayed we were the only ones there for 4 days it was very quiet.

There were a few things we would like to mention, even though we had a lovely stay, more of a way of improvement. We had to ask for fresh bathroom towels, after 4 days, the bathroom didn’t seem to be cleaned during our time. The rooms are not cleaned until late in the afternoon which was not the best as we would be out most of the day, yet no one else was there. The reception is very grubby, the front desk especially, the fridge to purchase drinks wasn’t well stocked and looked dirty. When you would want help with something, there was no one around, they would be sleeping or watching tv in one of the spare rooms or on the floor behind the front desk Breakfast very basic and if you don’t like eggs then not much to chose from. Maybe a couple more choices and to have your tea and coffee made would be nice, rather than helping yourself at the urn. We ate it 3 mornings but decided to eat else where after that (we stayed 7 nights) as we were a bit bored with the choice. The public toilets at the restaurant area also had no toilet paper and the buttons on the system broken. There could be a bit of music in the background playing that would be nice. There was no info re the property or surrounding areas in the rooms in a welcome pack. It was a real shame as the resort is beautiful, it just misses that extra touch. It is very well priced and you do pay for what you get but the accommodation is beautiful so it’s great value just needs some tlc and maybe some female staff as it just needs that extra touch. The staff were lovely when we saw them.

Very conveniently located between mushroom and tamarind bays. Comfortable villas in nice surroundings.

Damara like many properties in Bali/Lembongan is ageing. A few simple fixes such as providing soap bottles that work, bathroom fitting replacement and repairing exposed electrical wiring in the pool would help overall impressions. Also it was apparent that they were short on towels as you had to ask for pool towels and replacement room towels. Staff were polite but not overly enthusiastic.

Room was comfortable. Pool and surrounds refreshing. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but appetizing and delivered with a smile. We had to reduce our booking by one night and our fee was accordingly reduced - no fuss.
