This motel helped us keep our lodging cost down. Yellowstone Park has become crazy expensive (would you believe $450/day to stay at Canyon, which used to be a place the middle-class could afford?). Even most other places in West Yellowstone cost $300/day or more. The coffee situation is a bit strange--we had to stop at the Mobil station every morning for our coffee, but the advantage was, you could make your coffee with chocolate and other additions. We could also use the Mobil microwave to warm up our leftovers. The motel is right at the entrance to Yellowstone Park, very convenient. The owner Cole, 4th generation in a family business, was very friendly and hospitable. The room was quite comfortable and met our needs for a "base camp" very well. The locations allowed easy access to all parts of the Park except for Tower-Roosevelt and the Lamar Valley--notably to Old Faithful and the 3 geyser basins in that area. Being right next door to the Grizzly & Wolf place was also a benefit.
