Al's Westward Ho Motel

We had stayed here about six years ago. The motel is just outside the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. This time, the room was even bigger and better than the last time we stayed. There is parking just outside of the room. Free coffee or tea is provided at the convenient store next to the motel, for guests. The cost of staying here is considerably less than staying in the park and there are reasonably priced restaurants available within walking distance.

Great location, walkable to lots of restaurants an right next to the west entrance of Yellowstone, literally turn off the street and you’re in the queue for the gate. It was clean and did the job.

To enter Yellowstone from west, this is the perfect location. It is literally a stone throw from the west gate! It has a little kitchen with some rudimentary kitchen equipment (microwave, electric stove, pots and pans as well as plates and utensils.

Room was dark with old furniture and perhaps the worst view out of the window even though it is less than quarter of a mile away from one of the most beautiful parks in the world!! The bed was hard with nylon/plastic bedding. Walls are paper thin and could hear everything from upstairs or next door.
