Hiouchi Motel

The people were amazing. I liked the S'Mores at the firepit. There is a great cafe right next door.

The location was outstanding. It is practically walking distance to Jedediah Smith Redwood Park. The bed was comfortable and we got a good night of sleep.

Breakfast available but not included. Typically motels like this include breakfast.

Close to tall trees hiking areas.

TV didn’t work. Staff knew about it said it was finicky. Oh well.

Clean, beautiful scenery, friendly staff & great amenities! We loved the outdoor games and fire pit with complementary s’mores! Oh and loved it being dog friendly!

The owners of the property were so friendly and kind. It was easy to tell they took great pride in their business. They offered us an ADA room when they found out I had some trouble climbing a lot of stairs. They made us and our dog feel so welcome! The room was basic, but very comfortable. We loved that they offer s'mores at the campfire every night as part of the stay. AND they own the cafe next door, and offer a discount to anyone staying at the motel.

Everything was terrific!

The king bed mattress and pillows were very comfortable. All the interior surfaces looked new. The bathroom was clean and the shower had plenty of hot water. There was also a mini fridge, a table and two chairs. The best part is that it is located right next to Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. Comfort and beauty - what more could you want?

Excellent location, nice fire pit and patio area to hang out.

Expensive for the room. Terrible wifi connection (wouldn't even load web pages).
