Royal Palms Motel

Good location, in the heart of Tybee Island.

Extremely small. No seats inside. For the price, you are better off spending a little bit more and get an home rental that has more room and amenities in Savannah. The drive from Savannah to Tybee Island is 15 minutes. The bathroom had only one functional light bulb, had to go to dollar tree and buy another one so I could see. The air conditioner was a window unit that was mounted high up in the back wall. It struggled to maintain any temperature, cycling on and off constantly. It didn’t had an option to keep the fan running, so I would be awakened by it cycling on and off. I had to buy a pedestal fan to help the cold air circulate. And I had to buy foldable chairs so I could sit. The world’s tiniest bathroom sink with the biggest faucet, it was a struggle not getting the bathroom floor wet. The toilet was so close to the shower, that I would have to rest my feet inside the shower. I would lean back in toilet and the tank would leak on the floor.

Clean, updated rooms with nice decor. Becky at the front desk was super nice and helpful!

First thing that I didn't like was not being able to check in until 4pm. The rooms needed tissues. The other renters around us were loud late into the night and early in the morning. Otherwise everything was fine.

The hotel is in a nice location, and close to everything. The lady at the front desk was incredibly nice and accommodating.

1. There was little to no storage. We only had a rack for clothes but no hangers. 2. There weren't outlets on both sides of the bed to charge our things. 3.The parking lot was very small and there were not many spaces to park. 4.The refrigerator and microwave were plugged into an extension cord, which is incredibly dangerous. 5.The only sink was so small that it was hard to fit a cup under the faucet to fill it up. My breasts were bigger than the damn sink.

Location is great, a quick walk to the beach. A quick drive to good restaurants. The room was clean. Beds comfortable. Most lounge chairs around the pool were broken. It was so windy at the beach, that we decided to lounge at the pool and couldn’t find a chair without cracks. Housekeeping doesn’t come daily. I don’t recall seeing anything about that. The trash cans are too small for even a 2 night stay. They gave us 4 towels to start, and we will reuse, but they were damp still the next day. Not sure how to get replacements, The faucet was too large for the small sink, you just can’t turn the water on full and it’s fine. Parking spaces are very tight. This is the biggest issue. People came with large trucks & SUVs and if all the rooms were full, it would be impossible to get in and out of your car.

The room was smaller than expected but was ok. The shower was big, but the rest of the bathroom was very small and hard to use.
